# Teams

## Goal

When it comes to maximising your fitness results, knowing the **importance of accountability** is half of the battle. You may find a dozen reasons to skip a workout, and the main reason why people quit their fitness goals and reduce their chances of success is that there are no consequences for their inaction. It's not only you, we've been through that too. In fact everyone has at some point even the most disciplined. That's what motivated us to develop **Teams**.\
\
Once you are accountable to a group of people or just an individual, you engage the **power of social expectations** and get things done. We adapted this concept and made it become a little more fun and rewarding, making sure there’s someone who cares about your fitness success. Someone else we mean, cuz we care 💙

## Captain

We're all **Captains**. At least with **DEFIT** we can all become one to motivate others to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. There are two paths for you to begin inviting friends to join your team:

#### **Path number 1:**

Open the menu by clicking the three dots in the top left corner and head over to the `Teammate` page. Click the `Invite` button at the bottom and share your personalised message including your Captain code via your preferred social app.

#### **Path number 2:**

Open the menu by clicking the three dots in the top left corner and head over to the `Captain` page. `Copy` your personal code and share it with your friends who wish to join your team.

Once someone has added your **Captain** code you will be notified. They will officially become your **Teammate** only after completion of the following steps:

| Steps to complete                        |
| ---------------------------------------- |
| 1. Download the DEFIT app                |
| 2. Input your Team Captain referral code |
| 3. Activate a game mode                  |
| 4. Claim a 1st activity reward           |

#### Team name

To name your Team, open the `Captain` page and click `Set` button to give your Team a name. You can edit your Team name anytime.

#### Captain Rewards

Sometimes friends just need **someone to be there** for them. To encourage you to stay up to date with your **Teammates** and be a good **Captain** you will receive bonus rewards whenever they move. These bonus rewards will directly appear in your Game Wallet and differ according to your Tier level status as following:

| Tier Status | Bonus rewards |
| ----------- | ------------- |
| Basic       | 0%            |
| Bronze      | 1%            |
| Silver      | 2%            |
| Gold        | 3%            |
| Platinum    | 4%            |
| Diamond     | 5%            |

#### Team Cap

The number of **Teammates** one can have is capped depending on their tier level status as described below:

| Tier Status | Number of allowed Teammates |
| ------------ | --------------------------- |
| **Basic**    | 5                           |
| **Bronze**   | 10                          |
| **Silver**   | 15                          |
| **Gold**     | 20                          |
| **Platinum** | 30                          |
| **Diamond**  | 50                          |

{% hint style="info" %}
**Important:** There will be further developments of the Teams concept in near future. Also at the moment it is not possible to remove your Teammates nor for a Teammate to remove his Captain. You may want to choose wisely whom you decide to onboard in your Team.
{% endhint %}

## Teammates

We're all **Teammates**. At least with **DEFIT** we can all be one choosing an accountability partner. When you become a Teammate your Captain will have access to the following information:

1. Name and Game mode
2. Tier level status
3. Total activities rewarded
4. Date and type of your last activity

No further information will be shared. You can edit your name anytime in your `Profile` accessible via the menu.

#### Requirements to become a Teammate

Users must at least fulfil one of the three requirements below to become a Teammate.

| Requirements           |
| ---------------------- |
| Invite 3 friends       |
| Complete 21 activities |
| Pay 300 DEFIT          |

Our goal is to continuously implement new use cases that mutually benefit us. By encouraging you to invite friends and become brand advocates, we can leverage one of the most effective and trustworthy marketing methods — word of mouth. When it comes to habit-forming, The 21/90 rule states that it takes 21 days to make a habit and 90 days to make it a permanent lifestyle change. So if you really don't have anyone to invite, let's start working on your new lifestyle.

#### Teammate Benefits

The often used saying “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with” rings just as true in sports as it does in life itself. This is why it is vital to surround ourselves with people who inspire us and motivate us to become the best version of ourselves. \
\
Our DEFIT Team **Captains** have a certain **Aura**. An **Aura** can be defined as an extension of one's personality, emotional, mental and physical landscape. Once a **Captain** has formed a Team including a minimum of five **Teammates**, they will generate an **Aura.** This **Aura** will be **randomly airdropped** to one of their **Teammates**. The **Teammate** who received the Aura will be able to claim their next activity with a reward boost.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** While any user can become a Captain, only Club Members will generate and airdrop aura to their Teammates. An aura is not dropped systematically but delivered based on a probability algorithm encouraging effort (activity type, duration, heart rate).
{% endhint %}

| Type of Aura                                                            |
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Claim with the status above yours (if Captain status > Teammate status) |
| Claim with 25% reward boost (if Captain status < or = Teammate status) |

If the teammate’s activity with Aura is not claimable (e.g does not meet the minimum eligible active time), the aura is postponed to the next activity.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Important:** There will be further developments of the Teams concept in near future. Also at the moment it is not possible to remove your Teammates nor for a Teammate to remove his Captain. You may want to choose wisely whom you decide to choose as your Captain.
{% endhint %}
