# Introduction

## Rationale

The **power of the community** to create health is far greater than any physician, clinic or hospital.\
**DEFIT** wants to seed a **Virtuous Culture** that optimises **human engagement** and collaboration driving positive changes and long lasting behaviours. \
\
Community is much more than belonging to something. It's about **doing something together that makes belonging matter**. Virtuous social contexts appear when people **lift** each other up.

With that in mind, we have developed several mechanisms in order to reward organic community growth with like minded individuals and facilitate acts of kindness, compassion and generosity.
